About the PRS Experience Custom 24 Ltd Guitar in Gold Burst
The PRS Experience Custom 24 in Gold Burst was built to commemorate the 5th annual Experience PRS event. Every year Paul opens up the factory to PRS dealers and lovers of PRS, this year he announced a Limited Edition run of these Custom 24's available in three finishes, Orange Tiger, Burnt Almond, Gold Burst and Faded Abalone.
These guitars have several features that separate them from a regular PRS Custom 24, on of the main ones being an Artist Grade flame maple top. This is above a 10 Top in terms of quality and pushing into Private Stock territory. The guitars also feature PRS 59/09 pickups which are etched with the words "" 59/09 EXP 2011"". The legendary PRS eagle on the headstock has also been tweaked so it matches the 2011 spec Black and White Mother of Pearl Bird Inlays.
The Experience Limited's also feature the 2011 Spec Custom 24 upgrades including the new 5-Way blade switch, new V12 Finish and the new Pattern Neck Shape.
Only 200 of these very special Limited Edition guitars will be built with a very small amount making it into the UK.

New 2011 PRS V12 Finish Explained
PRS believe a finish should enhance the look, sound, and feel of a guitar by accentuating the woods inherent beauty and feel without hindering its natural resonance. The New V12 finish from PRS is a very thin, hard, durable and clear finish that will not crack or react with thinners. The V12 finish makes new PRS Models feel like vintage instruments and they all have tremendous resonance. It isn't until you try a PRS with a V12 finish that you realise how much the finish may be smothering your other guitars.
New 2011 PRS Pattern Neck Shape Explained
The neck shape has been an important piece of design since ay one, they want the necks to feel as comfortable as possible as soon as you pick them up. The new 2011 Pattern neck shape is similar to the profiles found on vintage 80's PRS models and new technology allows PRS to precisely and consistently reproduce these classic neck shapes

PRS Guitars was founded by Paul Reed Smith in 1985, over 25 years later PRS is one of the leading and most respected guitar manufacturers in the world. Paul Reed Smith was inspired by the classic guitar designs of the 50’s and 60’s but, unlike many other manufactures, wanted to create a guitar that was his own design in every right. Today the classic double-cutaway PRS silhouette is as recognisable as some of the famous designs of the 50’s which is a true testament to Paul Reed Smiths design and vision. We have been selling PRS Guitars since the late 1980’s and have seen the company grow and develop but never forget their core values and dedication to quality and innovation. As PRS has grown they have maintained superior quality, something which they have become renowned for and have set the bar for other manufacturers. The PRS Custom 24 was one of Paul’s first designs and is the guitar that he took to his first trade show and is the model that really put PRS on the map. Nearly 25 years later the Custom 24 is still one of the most popular PRS models available. Over it’s long lifetime it has had many upgrades and changes to keep it at the forefront of the market. Paul Reed Smith is never complacent and is constantly trying new woods, components, construction methods and new technology. The Custom 24 is a different guitar to the model first introduced in the late 80’s but the core values and vision is still the same - create the best electric guitar possible. Today the PRS Product lineup is one of the most impressive in the market, there is a guitar for any genre, style and budget. One of the newest additions to the PRS family is the PRS Studio model. This is a model based loosely around the now discontinued Custom 22 but features the unique Studio electronics and Pickups, a 57/08 Pickup in the bridge and two Narrowfield mini humbuckers in the middle and neck. This is another example of PRS pushing the boundaries and trying new things. At Tone World we love PRS Guitars and are very passionate about their fabulous instruments.
