The new PRS SE 245 is designed with traditional singlecut players in mind. The new thick mahogany body provides exceptional tone, ideal for recording or live work.

If you love LP Style guitars the SE 245 will feel instantly comfortable, but with its Bird Inlays and Flame maple top it is still unmistakably PRS.

The SE 245 gives you more control with dedicated volume and tone controls for each pickup and a 3-Way pickup selector on the upper bout.

Another new feature of the SE 245 is its scale length, the SE 245 is one of the first SE models to feature the new, shorter 24.5" Scale length. This is shorter than traditional PRS models which are usually 25". This makes it very comfortable to play, and is another reason for traditional LP-lovers to be happy.

We believe that PRS SE guitars are the best made guitars available for under £1000, the PRS designed hardware and exceptional craftsmanship create a fantastic instrument for any guitarist - student or professional.

The first PRS SE Model to be introduced was the PRS SE Santana in 2001, Carlos Santana is a long standing PRS endorsee and has been honoured with several signature models over the years. Carlos Santana wanted a signature model that his students could afford, hence the PRS ‘Student Edition’ was born. Since its introduction in 2001 the SE Line has been expanded to feature 19 models including 11 signature models. One of the most popular SE signature models comes from another long standing PRS endorsee, Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge. All PRS SE models feature the classic PRS silhouettes and most now have the option of the classic PRS Bird Inlays on the fretboard. The guitars are designed by the team at PRS and then built in carefully selected factories in Korea, all the hardware and pickups are designed by PRS using the same technology and experience as their USA models. In late 2011 PRS Introduced a new range of SE Acoustics which once again raised the bar for what can be expected from a guitar sub £1000.
